Like all of the SLX models, the ‘XT’ uses a high-end HAGANE Body made of lightweight aluminium, which is surprising for a reel in this price category. The inclusion of SVS Infinity simplifies casting control by using an external adjustment dial to change the spool breaking force, making this model especially useful for lightweight lures. An advanced aluminium S3D spool is fitted to the ‘XT’, along with an additional high-end ball bearing on the spool shaft, adding further refinement to one of Shimano’s most popular baitcasting reel ranges.
