- There are three Long Chuck Tapered Leader options, allowing you to match the leader’s tapered end to the breaking strain and diameter of the main line being used
- This helps create a neater joining knot and reduces the risk of frap-ups, which can happen when lines of very different diameters are joined and the knot catches as the line peels off the spool and passes through the butt ring
- Each leader is 10m long
- The first 8m is 30lb / 0.47mm line designed to absorb casting force and provide added abrasion resistance when playing fish - especially useful over gravel bars
- The final 2m tapers down from 0.47mm (30lb) to one of three end diameters: 0.27mm (10lb), 0.30mm (12lb) or 0.33mm (15lb), depending on the version
- The tapered leaders share the same key characteristics as Long Chuck main line: ultra-low stretch to improve casting efficiency, low water absorption, a lightweight clear finish to help the line stay airborne longer, and a high breaking strain-to-diameter ratio to reduce drag
- Each spool contains five leaders
