- At its core is Daiwa’s POWERDRIVE DESIGN – the same concept used on large Saltiga spinning reels
- It is built around two key units: the POWERDRIVE ENGINE (body unit) and the POWERDRIVE ROTOR (rotor unit)
- The POWERDRIVE ENGINE features an Oversized Power DigiGear with increased diameter and thickness for superior power transmission
- This is paired with the Roller Power Oscillation system running on ball bearings, reducing friction for a lighter start-up and a smooth, responsive retrieve
- All components are housed in a large full metal (AL) monocoque body, ensuring high efficiency and consistent cranking power under load
- The POWERDRIVE ROTOR, made from ZAION, optimises stiffness and inertia
- Compared to previous models, it is stiffer and more responsive while maintaining low inertia
- The result is a smooth, light retrieve that enhances sensitivity when working lures such as jerkbaits, plugs and other artificials that require precise control
- Line management is refined through the synergy of the Crank Power Bail and the Tough Line Roller System, delivering clean line flow and a seamless transition between casting and retrieving
